UC completes full-scale active shooter exercise

Published August 14, 2016 at 10:45 AM

The University at Buffalo held a full-scale, “active shooter” training exercise from 6-11 a.m. today in and around Clemens Hall on the UB North Campus.

The training exercise is now completed. University operations have returned to normal.

In the event of an actual emergency, the university will alert the university community through multiple channels, including text messages, email and web postings.  To sign up to receive UB Alert text messages go to https://www.getrave.com/login/buffalo

In an emergency, remember that it may take time in an emergency for authorities to determine the facts. Do not call 911 or UB Police for general information, as this will delay response to the emergency. The university will provide new details as quickly as possible at http://emergency.buffalo.edu/
