Buffalo police warned the public today about cellphone robberies near D’Youville College on the city’s West Side and in other neighborhoods.
Some individuals in University Heights have been the victims of this crime.
In a handful of recent incidents, suspects have snatched phones from victims’ hands as they were walking. Police said the public should be aware of their surroundings and avoid being distracted by using cellphones or other electronic devices while in public areas. If possible, people should travel in groups
