Buffalo Police investigating incident near UB's South Campus

Buffalo Police are investigating an incident that occurred near UB's South Campus at approximately 1:10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8. 

Two women report that they were approached by two unknown males on Winspear Ave. near Rotary Rd. One of the men pointed what appeared to be a silver handgun at one of the women. The suspects then fled east toward Bailey Ave. Nothing was demanded by the suspects and no one was injured.  

The victims described the suspect who displayed the gun as 18-20 years old and approximately 5’2” tall. The victim could not describe the second male suspect.

Members of the university community are urged to remember to stay alert to their surroundings, to always travel with other people and to report any unusual circumstances or suspicious persons and activities to the University Police as soon as possible.
