The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Wednesday, April 4,  for Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, and Chautauqua counties until 8pm tonite.  These dangerous and damaging winds could reach 65 to 70 mph at times.

On UB’s North Campus, high wind have damaged traffic signals at the intersections of Flint and Audubon and Audubon and Rensch.  These signals have been set to four-way flash, and University Police are directing traffic while crews repair the traffic signals.

Winds of this magnitude can result in extensive damage to trees and power lines, widespread power outages and significant property damage. If you are traveling to, from or on campus, be cautious and prepare for possible extensive damage and downed power lines.

If you have an office on campus, please make sure your windows are closed and locked.
