Crossroads Culinary Center (C3) on UB's North Campus is closed until further notice as a precaution, pending inspection of the building following a crane accident Thursday morning.
The incident happened at around 7:45 a.m. on Thursday at C3, where a truck with a crane mounted to it was being used to do work on the roof, according to UB police. An outrigger used to stabilize the crane apparently gave way, allowing the truck to tip onto its side and the crane to fall onto the roof.
No injuries were reported. The crane has been brought to an upright position.
Do not call 911 or University Police for general information during an emergency, as this will delay response to the emergency. This site will provide new details as quickly as possible.
