UB Police investigating on-campus robbery

University Police are investigating a reported strong-armed robbery that occurred at 4:20 a.m. today on a sidewalk near Diefendorf Hall on UB’s South Campus.

The victim was walking from Main Street to the VA Hospital on Bailey Avenue when he was approached from behind by two suspects. The suspects punched the victim in the head twice, stole $50 and fled toward Main Street.

The suspects were described as two black males in their teens, one wearing a dark hoodie and one wearing light-colored clothing.  One of the suspects was wearing a hockey mask.

The police investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident should contact University Police at 716-645-2227. 

To protect yourself, be alert to your surroundings and the people around you. When possible avoid walking alone.
