UB Police Investigating Craigslist Related Robberies

City of Buffalo Police are investigating three related armed robberies that occurred between November 24 and 27, one of which was on Winspear Avenue in the vicinity of the South Campus. The suspect contacted the victims to purchase what the victims posted on Craigslist, and then proceeded to rob them of an X-box, iPad, and a computer.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6’1, 24 to 30 years old, with no facial hair or tattoos. He displayed a black handgun.

University Police caution members of the UB community not to share their address or other identifying personal information with anyone they do not know. Use caution when posting items for sale or when responding to posts about items for purchase online.

Members of the community are urged to be vigilant at all times. Report any unusual circumstances or suspicious persons and activities to the University Police at 716-645-2222, as soon as possible.
