UB Police investigating armed robbery on South Campus

University at Buffalo Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 5:58 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, as the victim was walking to the Parker lot on the South Campus.

Buffalo Police reported a similar robbery on Lisbon Avenue at around the same time. University Police are checking backyards along Winspear Avenue with the Buffalo Police and their K9 unit.

The suspect is described as a black male age 16-20, approximately 5-foot-5 or 5-foot-6, with a thin build and wearing a gray puffy winter coat, camel pants and a black ski mask. According to the victim, the suspect displayed a small knife and demanded money. No injuries were reported.

University Police have posted a special detail to the South Campus and increased patrols.  

Members of the university community are reminded to stay alert to their surroundings and always travel with other people.
