UB Police Arrest Robbery Suspect

University Police responded to an attempted armed robbery that occurred November 17 at approximately 1:20 a.m. at the corner of Winspear and Winridge avenues on the South Campus. The victims reported that a male, described as black, in his 20s, wearing a black coat/hoodie with red trim, displayed what appeared to be a small silver revolver and demanded money.  The victims turned and ran toward Kapoor Hall while the suspect fled east on Winridge Ave. towards Bailey Ave.  Nothing was taken from the victims and they were not injured. 

University Police arrested the suspect a short time later and recovered the toy gun believed to have been used in the crime.  Anyone who may have been approached by this suspect is asked to contact the University Police at 716-645-2227.

Members of the UB community are reminded to always stay alert to their surroundings and to be vigilant at all times.
