The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will begin reconstruction of Sweet Home Road between Maple Road and Rensch Road near the UB North Campus on August 4. The project will begin at approximately 7 a.m. and will result in traffic restrictions.

Members of the UB community who travel to the North Campus via Sweet Home Road may want to allow for extra time for the trip — or take an alternate route. Bicycle traffic along Sweet Home will also be impacted by the construction work.

Motorists should expect to encounter lane closures and lane shifts on Sweet Home Road in the northbound and southbound directions and are advised to allow for extra travel time. Lane closures are expected to remain in place through the end of the current construction season in late fall 2016.
