Off-campus robbery and assault with weapon

Buffalo Police report they are investigating a robbery and assault with a weapon of a UB student that occurred on Lisbon Avenue near the UB South Campus at 5:30 p.m. this evening (Dec. 1). 

According to Buffalo Police, the suspect is described as a black male with a knife, 5-foot 4-inches tall, wearing a camouflaged jacket with lime-green striping. University Police have posted a special police unit to the South Campus and have increased patrols on the campus. Buffalo Police have increased patrols in the neighborhood near the campus. 

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call to the Buffalo Police “E” District at 716-851-4416.  For any incident on campus, please call the University Police at 716-645-2222.
