With the exception of the classroom in room 112, all classrooms and offices on the ground floor and first floor of Norton Hall on the North Campus are closed due to a flood caused by a sprinkler issue in an office in Norton Hall. The other floors of Norton can be accessed from Capen Hall and O’Brien Hall.
No classes have been cancelled.
Facilities crews are on site and have shut off the sprinkler.
UBIT has switched some services to backup servers as a result of the flooding, and some UBIT services may be slow. To read more about the UBIT services impacted, see UBIT Alerts webpage.
A UB Alert was sent to the campus at 8:40 a.m.
Updates will be provided as the issue is resolved.
Do not call 911 or University Police for general information during an emergency, as this will delay response to the emergency. This site will provide new details as quickly as possible.
