Furnas Hall on UB North Campus has been evacuated due to possible chemical release in building. The chemical is believed to be methane. Hazmat crews are investigating. No injuried have been reported.
Students walking outside of the Furnas Hall 5th floor lab noticed a "noxious odor" and called UB Police. UB Police evacuated the building.
Furnas Hall contains the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
Stay away until further notice. Emergency crews have responded.
Furnas Hall is currently closed.
